Paypal re-enabled on my store

Seems that during a round of troubleshooting the Tilted Windmill Press store, I temporarily disabled Paypal. Turning off features until you figure out what’s broken is standard troubleshooting.

Apparently I skipped the part where I turn features back on. Oops. Paypal is back. Sorry, folks.

Nobody complained, which makes me curious. Does anybody have reason to need Paypal rather than a credit card? I want to offer all reasonable payment options, but I don’t want to carry unnecessary stuff.

  1. People in Germany may not have a credit card, most people normally use debit cards instead. Only recently those debit cards are backed by e.g. Visa and can maybe used internationally (“visa accepted” and “real payment”, not “deposits, rentals, or guarantees”), old debit cards are “EC cards” and only work locally. Paypal accepts EC cards (well, technically it is pulling directly from the bank account). France (and probably some other European countries) may be similar. That’s off course only one side of the question, if your target audience is more within those which only have an old but still in use debit card or a credit card or not…
